Dr. Jothimani’s academic credentials include an MBBS from Madras Medical College, MRCP (UK), FRCP (Glasgow), and a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Hepatology, Gastroenterology, and General Medicine from the West Midlands Deanery, UK . He further enhanced his expertise through a Hepatology Research Fellowship at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, Australia .

A highly skilled liver specialist, Dr. Jothimani has performed numerous specialized procedures, including over 500 endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatographies (ERCPs), more than 1,000 diagnostic and therapeutic oesophagogastroduodenoscopies (OGDs), approximately 600 colonoscopies, transient elastography (FibroScan), and over 350 percutaneous liver biopsies .

Dr. Jothimani is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Indian Association for the Study of Liver, the Indian Society of Gastroenterology, the General Medical Council (UK), the European Association for the Study of the Liver, and the British Association for the Study of the Liver . His contributions to the field have been recognized with the Times Health Excellence Award for Service Excellence in Liver & Gastro Care in 2020 .
